Have lost all sound on my comp?

My computer gives me no audio. When I go to the "sound" icon in my control panel, for "speakers," it says "realtek high definition audio not plugged in." I'm using windows vista on my HP computer. Gotta hear my songs on Youtube--help!

If you have the install disk for your motherboard, put it in and re-install the sound driver. If that doesn't work then just get a $10 sound card from newegg and upgrade.

If there is any virus or anything the first prey is the audio application in windows. Before reinstalling the audion driver, keep you antivirus uptodate and scan your system properly to make free from viruses
