I am planning to travel to the US of A in 2014 and i would like to know if I can buy a gun at the airport?
Since everyone in the US of A owns a gun , am I able to buy a gun at the airport when I land there so that I can feel safe and protect myself?
Do I need to organize this before I fly there?
Also what type of gun could I buy? I would like to research this before I go since I live in a country where I can not own a gun and have never seen one.
BSWTWA- I do not watch TV , I get my info from social internet sites that are full of people from the US of A carrying on about how they have the right and need to own guns. I am sure there are many people around the world who would argue that the US of A was not a peaceful Country. The figure of 80 does that include illegal guns? Its my understanding that its the ownership of illegal guns by people that makes the need of gun ownership so important.
Ahmad- I think you will find that I have seen a picture of a gun.So google is no real help for me , I guess I should have put *I have never been close to a gun and seen one in RL.
Drip- yes bad wording there by me , *Since it seems like everyone ,

Sure, walk up to a TSA officer and tell him you are new and want your gun.
You do not have to buy a gun the government will give you your first gun.
Remember that there are different seasons on shooting people and robbing liquor stores, so ask for a hunting manual so you won't get a ticket for shooting something that is out of season.
Welcome to the wild West.

It's unlikely, but possible to get a gun at the airport and you might not even have to buy it, Just go to the line of people getting ready to go though departure screening and ask if someone has forgotten about the Swedish anti-tank gun in their hand-carried bag. People are forgetful. It might be better to give it to you rather than suffer the hassle and embarrassment with TSA. If you buy something away from the airport, I think I'd not get a Kalashnikov AK 74. It was used in Dallas.

Either you watch too much American TV or have been grossly misinformed. We are a peaceful country and you can feel safe walking around 99% of most big cities any time of the day or night. Most gun owners are like us. We have a few locked up in the basement just in case the zombies try to break in.
Statistics are as follows;
When you weed out all the skewed stats of self serving interest groups, best estimates are put the number of gun owners at 80 million with a total of 258 million guns. But a large number of these are law enforcement officers.

"since everyone in the US owns a gun...". Not true.
People in the US do not walk around with guns on them.
Without taking lessons on how to use a gun properly, you run a high risk of harming yourself! Not to mention innocent people around you.
You can not buy a gun at an airport

I'm American and I don't know anyone with a gun. You're definately misinformed about America or you are just very stupid. Not many people have guns in the USA, no you can't buy a gun...you aren't a legal resident and most people can't own a gun. If you want to see a gun google it.

No, you cannot buy one at the airport. First you will need to obtain a permit if you are going to carry it around, and then you can buy one at gun stores, walmart and online. I also highly recommend you getting a gun safe, so that when you are sleeping at night or in your home, you have a safe place to keep it.

you cannot buy one at the airport, but depending on what state you go to first, you can buy one at the nearest gun store. Wyoming. Montana, Texas, Missouri, Iowa, North and South Dakota, Idaho,Utah, all the States were crime is very low and you really don,t need one. when you cannot buy one are the states where crime is high. California, Illinois, New York, New Jersey,
be-where there are alot of laws about carrying it from state to state.

Lovely. Very nice. Go to Virginia first. Totally easy to get whatever you need.

Absolutely you can! Ask the first uniformed officer and he/she will direct you. You want an AR15 and a kit to modify it. That's what all the Americans carry. All the time. Everywhere.
Enjoy your flights!
