HClO3(aq) + KOH(aq) -----> KClO3(aq) + H2O(l)
H+(aq) + OH- ----> H2O(l)

It is a reaction between a robust acid and a powerful base: HNO3 + KOH -> KNO3 + H2O or, in terms of ions: H(+) + ok(+) + NO3(-) + OH(-) -> ok(+) + NO3(-) + H2O As in most reactions of this kind, the products are a salt (potassium nitrate) and water. In phrases of ions, the reactant ions are optimistic hydrogen and potassium cations and terrible nitrate and hydroxide anions. On the merchandise facet of the response, there are confident potassium cations and terrible nitrate anions. FYI: the Potassium hydroxide needs to be standardized before it is used within the titration. That is seeing that the solution reacts with carbon dioxide in the air, forming potassium bicarbonate. Most strong acid/base titrations use phenolphthalein as a trademark.

I take it you mean hydrochloric acid....
Balanced Equation:
KOH + HCL ------> KCL + H2O
If any metal hydroxide reacts with an acid, it forms an ionic salt and water.
K+ + Cl- -------> KCl
Positive Potassium Ion + Negative Chlorine Ion = Ionic Salt of Potassium Chloride

The net ionic equation is whatever minimum reaction occurs to make the whole reaction go--form a precipitate, for a gas, or form water.
