What's the point of messaging someone if you are not their friend on facebook?
What's the point? I don't think they read it anyway, how can they when they are not your friend on facebook. I tried messaging them just to see if they are the person because its been awhile.

There's an infinite number of reasons for doing that. To see if it's who you think it its, to ask (or say) something about something they posted, etcetera etcetera etcetera.

Some people won't accept your friend request unless you message them first.
