What kind of music would Hamlet listen to if he was from this generation?

So I have to make a social page for Hamlet from the play by William Shakespeare and I don't know what to put. Any suggestions would help. Thanks :-)

I assume you've read the play - and if you have, I applaud you. I've always found the tragedies hard to grasp, though I like the comedies.

Hamlet was, to me, a late adolecent or in his early 20's. He appears moody. He has a lot of angst, and his father's sudden death and his mother's sudden marriage to his uncle has really jarred him. I'm sure he was suspicious about his uncle before Dad died, but his mother marrying the prime suspect must have really been disfunctional as well as incestuous (if Hamlet's family were Catholic, this would really be a sin to him.)

Do you think he would prefer angry sounding music. Revenge? Lyrics that put down women as cheats and that no one can be trusted? The I-want-to-kill-or-die songs?

Marli has some very good suggestions.

To that, I would add emo. (UPDATE: You go, Dmitri! We seem to have been typing in our answers at the same time.) The Ham was definitely an emo kind of guy. Black-on-black clothing. Acting depressed. And cutting (medieval style).

But in the scenes where he's pretending (or not?) to be crazy, when he says he'll put on an "antic disposition," he might listen to Weird Al Yankovic and/or They Might Be Giants.

    Something melancholic and sad.

Hamlet is the Emo of his time.
