tf2 wont open! help please?

ok, so my friend convince me to get steam and download tf2. it all went smoothly, but when i try to open tf2, it wont open, it just plays a small intro thing and then it closes and nothing happens! i varified the game and everything and it still wont work! any help?

    Go to your Steam Library and Delete local content

    and install again

    it shall work

    its frustrating i know but it will work

    You need to update your video drivers.
