Brother's 4th grade spelling hw? Should be very easy; why is it not easy!!?

My brother has an assignment for spelling. He has a large word bank like 35 and is answering various questions, there were 18 of those. We only have 4 left.

Questions:

1-2. Fins words with double consonants.

3. When you talk (blank), you are being open and frank.

4. When you keep your (blank) to the ground, you are trying to stay informed about something.

nancy kay- obviously it was difficult, or I wouldn't be on here asking for help as im in 11 th grade and did every other problem fine. if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all

    Double consonants are two consonants in a row. So look at "earrings". Has 2 r's in a row. See if there are any others like "appear". With 2 p's in a row. Not vowels - so career or cheer - with 2 e's would not be correct.

    I don't see a word in the list to fit the blank in #3. So maybe one of the other questions you've already answered is wrong. Look for something like "honestly" in one of your other answers.

    #4. Would be "ear".

    I am confused are we using the words above that you listed or do you need words given to you to fill in blanks?

    ok 1 from your list is either appear or earring

    #3 does not make sense with any of the words listed....

    Best of luck that is a hard lesson for such a young grade
