DC Universe Online Controls not working right?
I've been playing DCUO for about a week now, and my attacks buttons stopped doing what they are suppose to do. Triangle is a long range attack, but instead it just punches, identical to square. When I held Square down it did a powerful punch that would close a big distance between you and the enemy, but it doesn't anymore. I've read that logging out, and back in can fix this, but for me it hasn't. Please, any and all help is greatly appreciated, because the bug has got me stuck, I can't beat the boss when my attacks are simple, weak punches.
I also downloaded the game to my PC after this came up on the Playstation, and lo and behold, same problem. What is this? I checked the control schemes, and they're both at default, I've logged out multiple times for both, and that hasn't fixed it! I really haven't the slightest idea of what it could be. I've tried taking things out of my inventory and such, but nothing there seems to have been the problem.
The problem came up at level 7 on PC as a hero on PvE, and level 15 on PS3 as villain on PvE. Any thoughts? Any resolutions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I fixed it... I didn't have a weapon equipped, and when I did, it was broken. Derp...

i came in to say check your control schemes, because that's why the same thing happened to me (R1 being ranged attack instead of block, for instance) but you're already ahead of me.
contact support, i guess. good luck!

I suggest, you go check out some DC Universe wikis. there are some out there, and you study the mechanics/builds, so you start with an optimal build. you can also watch some builds on YouTube. I did not play for some time now, I try to recall the basics for you: There are basically 3 classes, represented by the "powers" Each class however, has a damage role anyways. You can switch between damage and the other role, depending on what you choose. (after a certain level). There is healer, tank, and support. Each role can choose between 2 powers. role is the same, but works different. Cant go into detail here. The other important thing to know, that certain weapons are way better suited for a certain role and build, Because weapon skills have bonuses, which amplify certain stats (like strength, intelligence, etc.). Depending on what role you want to focus on, you will focus on a certain stat, to max it out, with your weapon skills, gear stats, and where you put your stat points. Example. the supporter can go to different paths. He can focus on providing "mana" to him and team, or he can focus on CC (crowd control). The two builds require two different stats. Same goes for healer and tank.
