going to text my crush, what should I say?
So I finally got my crush's number and i've worked up the nerve to text him, my problem is that i'm completely terrified!!!
I'm not really a good conversationalist to begin with, unless I know the person really well. Well I've only known him for a few months, so i'm still really shy around him. Whenever I text a person I don't know well, I usually go a long time without saying anything after the usual "hey, how are you? How's school?" I don't mean to it's just that I can' think of anything to say after that. I don't want this to be an issue when I text my crush, so what should I talk to him about?
These are the things that I know about him so far that could be conversation starters. He has two older sisters and two younger brothers that he adores, he plays basketball, he loves to sing, and we both go to the same theatre club.
Any ideas?

Texting should be fun, not mundane. Face to face or voice calling is for the more mundane stuff. Never let texting get boring. That is why I agree with the zombie apocalypse answer. Maybe you could ask him if he'd help save you if there was a zombie apocalypse (that's called a bait question). Ask what he'd use as a weapon and where he'd hole up to try to survive the outbreak. Then tell him that his weapon of choice is lame, he should get a flamethrower or a tank, or a giant mech. Maybe some grenades. Just have fun.
You can also ask questions like, "If I were a genie and could grant you three wishes, what would they be?"
Get creative!

Okay, first, BE COOL. Don't freak out or you'll end up saying something stupid to him and having an internal war later.
And is there anything going on in the theatre club? Maybe an upcoming play? Ask him about it. Or you can just talk about school and how bad/good it is for you. Ask him about his interests. Since you guys haven't known each other very long, ask questions about him. Ask what songs he likes to sing. Stuff like that. I know, texting your crush is so hard! Why can't it be as easy as texting your best friend? -.-

This is how I start every conversation. Find something you don't know about them, & tell them to list it.
Example:
"Top five favorite bands, from different genres. Go."
Gives you things to ask about, compare to, etc. Also, is an abrupt
but not rude way of starting a conversation. I'm not good at small talk, so I do that. Haha
Best of luck.

Just talk to him about things you have in common-like theatre! Ask him if he likes the teacher how he thinks about what your doing, his favorite song to sing, his favorite singer. Stuff like that. Just ask lots of questions. Guys luv talking! Also ask him if he plays and video games, and if he does then ask him about it and ask him how you play it. Then you can say at the end "maybe you could teach me sometime" and then put a little winky face!
Best of luck

Pretend you have a question about the theatre club or about school, and use that as a conversation starter. then slowly progress the conversation to other stuff :)
you can do it!

Ask your crush what his interests are, then try to do comply with inquiries to that precise topic to where you sound keen on his interest, then bring up one more topic and do the identical factor!
