Why is the Apple Thunderbolt Display so ridiculously expensive??!!?
I mean, $1,000 for a freakin monitor, are you kidding me??!! An iMac is $1,200, which is only $200 more than the display.... Is Apple being retarded with this or something? You can probably find a monitor from HP or Samsung with the equivalent display and resolution for like $200!!!
This really doesn't make sense Apple.... You can buy an extremely powerful computer for under a $1,000, instead of wasting that money on a stupid display..

Economics is applied to the question.
Apple is a giant, and in a way a monoply.
Aple has a large consumer demand due to brand loyalty which results in their supply of specific products being reduced. This causes Price to increase as well as, causing the quantitiy of the good to decrease.

that's why people hate apple. Macbooks only cost only 300 dollars to make but they sell em for 1200.
