Will Dragon Age Origins (ultimate edition) work on windows 8?

I just bought a new laptop, and I think it fulfills all the requirements for Dragon Age, but I don't know if it will work on windows 8. Also, I see a lot of reviews complaining about installing Dragon Age on the pc, and it's got me paranoid... I don't want to spend $30 at steam for something that won't even work on this computer.

    Windows 8 is backwards compatible.

    All programs that run on win 7 will run on win 8

    You could *ahem* test drive the game before buying it. Better tgan wasting your money on something that doesnt work. Even better switch to windows 7.
