my computer does not detect my CD?? i have important work please help?!?
I have Windows 7, Samsung computer. When I insert a CD to copy the ppt I made, the computer doesn't detect the CD at all! It keeps saying things like insert a CD and ejects even when there is a CD inside. This happened 2 days ago and the same thing happened with flash drives a few months back (that problem is still unsolved too) I really need the power point presentation by tomorrow morning please please help! thanks a lot!

The first thing I would try is going into the device manager (search for it in the start menu) and disable your CD drive (you can do this for your USB ports as well if you'd like.) Then restart windows and re-enable these devices. Windows should automatically re-install the drivers needed for these devices and hopefully it will solve your problem. If not, you're looking at perhaps a bad optical drive or a motherboard that is going bad.
As for a quick way to get your power point from one location to the next, try emailing it to yourself.

It is probably you're computer.(obv dumb me) Anyway sometimes it can be problems with the disc trey and sometimes flash drives aren't detected. are the discs older? Is the flash drive a 2.0 or a 3.0 or is the plug a 2.0 or a 3.0 Anyway just email it to you're self.
