How do I get back to the old yahoo mail format - I ABSOLUTELY HATE the new one - surprised it was switched?

You can return to Yahoo! classic by visiting http://us.mc598.mail.yahoo.com/mc/launchIt (as long as this option is available).However, please note that you'll be missing all the latest features and functionality of the New Yahoo! Mail in the older versions.

Alternatively, you can disable the Javascript option in your browser to get the option to go back to Yahoo! classic.

In Firefox go to Tools and open Options.

Under the Content tab UNCHECK “Enable JavaScript”.

Open Yahoo mail URL and login using your id and password.

A notice will appear saying that JavaScript is needed to be enabled for using the new Yahoo! Mail. There you’ll see two options to return to a previous version of Yahoo! Mail. Choose the first option to switch just for one time or second option to return to a previous version. Now you are back to the classic version.

In order to access all web sites properly, don’t forget to Enable JavaScript from the Content tab under Options in Firefox.

I do not like the new changes at all. I would like to change back to the old version. The changes were made without notice and/or consent. After much difficult searching, I finally found this sub-link and clicked on the further sub-link for "I want to change back to previous version" and get only the canned answer: "Unfortunately, it is not possible to switch to the previous design of Yahoo! Mail." The new version does not allow me to sort and search mail as quickly or easily as the old version. It is dramatically more difficult to sort and find email messages - especially in a rapid manner. This takes from me my most precious asset - TIME. This new version COSTS me TIME and reduces my efficiency and effectivity.

Please give me back the old version ASAP. It was FAR better. The longer this takes, the more damage you do. Do not delay.

Jit's answer worked for me! Yay, Yahoo Mail Classic! and Booooooo to whoever "Dalton" is who is populating Yahoo Answers with a snow job form answer to all the (MANY) people who absolutely, really despise & hate the newest change saying that you can't go back! Jit's link works (at least so far)!

UPDATE: Oooops! The link did take me there, but while in I went to contacts & then tried the 'back' button to go to inbox to compose and it led me to the newest version. I guess I need to use the link again to get back to Classic!... again.

I do not think you can, I do not like the new format.
