How do you deal with another tragedy like what happened today with the school shooting?

What has happened to America, to many people, will the violene ever end?

My heart goes out to these innocent victims and their families and my prayers, too. :(

You have to gather warming thoughts about all those you love and care about and let the thoughts surround you.

Mourning for the dead and the survivors is a good thing although it fills us with such despair and helplessness, but we need to move on.

In doing so we do not disrespect the dead for we did not know them and but for 24 hours access we would never have known it happened.

Terrible events like this can bring communities together and that is the best that we can hope for. They also give us an inkling that no matter how awful and angst ridden our lives may have seemed up until this point they actually aren't that terrible by comparison and we should be giving thanks.

Looking up data on the -forgotten the name, senior citizen moment going on here so am going to call it- Humanity Project. will also disclose that there will have been a jump in Planet Earth's connectivity around the time of the incident and it's being broadcast.

I think that speaks volumes for us all. We may all shout rhetoric about uncaring societies, but we do all care and incidents such as this give us a chance to absorb that.

So wrap your arms around yourself and give yourself a hug from everyone who knows and cares about you. Give thanks for being alive and offer prayers for those who have been affected.

These events are so saddening. I often think of everyone involved......the shooter, the family of the shooter, the family of those involved, and the families of those whose kids survived, the kids, the teachers, and everyone affected.

However, I cope by moving on with my life. There's no other option. It's sad, and this will be on my mind for the next couple days, but after that, I will be back to being a normal person.

That being said, America is the exact same. The media causes everyone to believe that things used to be so good, that these events never happened. I urge people to not forget history, which I believe is being forgotten in the shadow of these instances. Historically, America used to be much more violent. Back in 1890, there was a massacre of 300 people, 200 deaths being women and children. This was largely the same thing as what happened today except on a scale of 11 times more deadly and not due to mental illness.

Unfortunately, the violence will never end. We are humans and we are always competing. Because of that, it is impossible to ever achieve peace. There is no "solution." However, in my opinion, the best way to help prevent these occurrences is to have "Sympathy for the Devil." That means that we must also think of the killers. The reality is that some people have thoughts of killing people. Most people do not understand why......but the reality is that some people do. The issue is that everyone views these people as heartless and soulless people. If society gives them the impression that they are terrible people, it decreases the likelihood that they will seek help and increases the likelihood that they will actually go through with killing. In other words, we all need to look into a mirror and realize that ultimately, we are the cause of these tragedies. It's up to US as the American society to change the way we think, because the demonization of those with mental disorders is what causes these to happen.

    Food for thought.

    GUN CONTROL.

Im sick of the narrow minded NRA crap about how folks need to defend themselves with high powered military grade assault weapons. The world is always gonna produce crazy homicidal maniacs, but it will be harder to wade through a school, mowing innocent kids down with a knife. If guns are not restricted, we can only count the weeks to the next retard who wants to go on a kill spree.

There must be more to this than just crazy. They need to search this out and see what all these people have in common...Have they ever been hypnotized, do they use drugs, have they ever been bitten by a raccoon or other rabies caring, animal, etc....I am worried that our government is on the verge of over reacting.

It is very hard to deal with, not only because it is remarkably sad but also because it shows us the worst of humanity. I like most people feel much sorrow but it is the dead and their families who are truly and profoundly victims, we all suffer to an extent but our pain is nothing in comparison with the victims and heir families. Our sympathies should be with the bereaved but it can be little solace.

It's sad...and even sadder that people poke fun at it or use it to promote their political agenda.

In a world where violence has been made as a form of entertainment, I can't see it coming to an end any time soon.

    I weep for humanity

Im thinking about why it's happens and why we are not talking about the real reasons for the problem. The dirty underbelly of a capitalistic society that destroys everything in it's way.

No it will never end. My heart also goes out to those families. You just have to have faith in God. God will take care of those who are willing to believe in Him. Also i think there's too much pressure in the world now. Umm could it be the govenment?

Most U.S. citizens are hypocrites. The world is too overpopulated including the USA. Deep down many citizens are really glad the mass killings of citizens happen. Provided they were not their friends or relatives.
