Is Plane Travel Scary...?

It is if you're afraid of flying. It's quite okay if you're not. If you're constantly concentrating on how you might die at any moment flying won't be comfortable. If you don't focus on it and think of it just like a long bus or train ride, it will be rather pleasant.

I don't like heights either, but I have absolutely no problem with flying. Perhaps it's because I know the physics, perhaps it's because when I look down I only see the floor of the plane. I commonly forget that there's ten miles of progressively thinner air under me, even when looking out of the window.

There isn't much that can be done to assuage a fear of flying over the internet. All I can do is tell you facts, like out of a million flights every day none crash. A fear of heights doesn't necessarily mean a fear of flying.

Flying in a plane is never scary :)

Just don't make up stuff in you head or have silly fantasies about it before you have ever flied before.

You don't have to look out windows anyways (they are no that big really, and always have a shutter thing on them).

Though depending on you flight you might get sore ears... caused by the presure.

NO, IT'S A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. ONCE THE PLANE IS IN THE AIR, YOU PROBABLY WON;T FEEL LIKE YOU'RE EVEN MOVING. JUST RETURNED FROM TAMPA, FLORIDA TO PA. BEEN FLYING SINCE 1955 BRING ALONG A CAMERA, YOU CAN TAKE GREAT PICTURES FROM THE AIR IF YOU HAVE A WINDOW SEAT. IF POSSIBLE, GET A SEAT OVER THE WINGS. ENJOY YOU'RE FIRST FLIGHT. P.S. I DON'T CARE FOR HEIGHTS EITHER.

No, not at all. It is more scary driving in a car to the airport than it is flying.
