is not eating that bad for you?

Yeah I know not eating is very bad for you. I'm wondering, if not eating for bout two days then or eating very little like half a sandwich then eating regularly for a couple days and do that at intervals, will that hurt you? what would it do?

I heard of some sort of cleansing type thing people do where they only eat what their body needs for a couple of days and they do this every month... I dint know specifics, but I do know that yes, while they don't eat as much, they still eat the sufficient amount of nutriend and vitamins their body needs for that day, so if your planning on doing that... Theres a lead.

Also, if your planning on doing it to lose weight, you won't, if anything, you'll gain weight, and that's because after you've starved, when your body finally eats, it will store that food as fat in preparation for when you do it next... So it's not really worth it.

Not eating regularly will screw up your metabolism. You need to take in a certain amount of calories so your body can do its regular bodily functions.

And you don't want to become malnourished.

If this is a weight loss thing, you should just eat healthy and get some exercise. Losing weight slowly will be a lot healthier for you in the long run.

    Hey Justin

A routine of eating and drinking is best because your body works in rhythms and needs balance. If you're not eating enough, your body will hold onto whatever fat and calorie you do consume, thinking that it may not see food again for some time. That can cause weight gain...and digestive issues.

The important thing is to just do things in a balanced way so it's not lacking what it needs and it's not getting excessive amounts of things it doesn't.

    Be well!

Um yes. That is very bad for you. If your trying to get skinny not eating will actualy just make you fatter. You see. Not eating wont allow your body to start your metabolism. You should at least be eating small portions frequently.

Hon skipping meals is very unhealthy. You lose extreme weight and your body will going into starvation mode. You lose weight but you lose the unhealthy weight. Like muscle. You need a little muscle. Muscle helps you burn fat/calories quicker. So don't ruin your life by doing this.

Eat when you're hungry. Don't eat when you're not hungry.

I took this advice from my dad and it's amazing how many people don't go by it.
