Is my fish tank overstocked?

I have a 15 gallon tank with a blue ram, 6 neon tetra, a black molly, a bumblebee goby, a kuhli loach, and 8 cherry shrimp.

I don't think it is, but I just want to make sure.

I do 25% weekly water changes.

Thanks!

More a poor mix of fish.

The Neons, Blue Ram and loach are soft water, low pH species.

The Mollies and goby are high pH / brackish water species.

One or the other is not in the correct conditions.

Number of fish is not actually too bad, just the mix is wrong.

Your tank is overstocked. You would be fine with the 6 neon tetras, either the blue ram or the black molly (black molly is the better choice) and a kuhli loach. You need to get rid of the goby and cherry shrimp.

When someone asks the answer is usually "hell yeah!"

In this case it's not so bad and you only got two bad fish. The goby needs brackish water really, the molly would also do best in that. The kuhli needs company. You do NOT have the room to start adding another species.

I would say that you have a lot of variety in the tank - possibly too much. The chances of these fish ever crossing each others paths in nature would not be likely.
