How much do you enjoy yardwork?

Can't do much at the moment because the pine needles are still falling from the enormous Corsican Pine Tree which is almost slap in the middle of my garden.

It was almost a reasonable size big tree when we moved here in 1974 and doesn't encourage me to do anything - it shadows everything and keeps the rain off any plants I try to grow, so I'm always watering in the Summer.

I wish it fall down in a storm one day, then I might enjoy my back garden again.

Ha ha...not raking or blowing leaves. My mower guy came out a few days ago and did it for me. However, I do enjoy planting trees and bushes which I'm going to continue to do today.

Let me tell you a story from suburban Chicago ... people are saying go ahead and build a big huge house on my lawn. Now they say it's because they're running out of room, but could it be that they don't want to mow the lawn anymore? Sure makes you wonder ...

Yardwork? I haven't mowed my lawn in 2 years, and my grass is almost a foot tall. What do you think?

I don't mind it. I just burned the last pile of leaves last night.

I love it and taking care of my flower garden.
