Do you need to keep birth control in it's original pack?

I'm travelling to the USA tomorrow, and I have a pill box filled with my vitamins (over the counter, nothing prescription). I also take birth control, and I'd like to just put my daily pill into this box as well so I don't forget it. Do I need to take the original packaging with me? Or is that only for medications that actually treat conditions?

I've tried googling this, but I haven't been able to find a helpful answer.

Please help! :D

You need to bring all of your medications (including your vitamins) in their original packaging so if border control asks to see it, they will know exactly what it is (you don't want them to think it is something that could be trafficked)

When you arrive in the USA and go through customs, then you can put everything in your pill box.

Source(s): I travel a lot and have different types of meds that I bring with me.
