I've heard some people who say they're good others that say they're overrated. What do u guys think? If not good what headphones do u recommend?

No, for $300 you could studio headphones or audiophile headphones. If someone tells you that they are good you should stop listening to them.
Check out Sennheiser, Audiotechnica or Grado headphones.

i think they are overrated because honestly they are a normal pair of head phones. you pay for the name not the quality. my sony ones that i bought for $15 work just as well and has the same sound.
