1. If I live in LA and I want to audition for SM, do I just need to audition at SM builing in LA and if I pass do I just become a trainee or do I need go go to korea for a second round of audition?
You go to the second round no matter what.
Everyone thinks that once you go through the audition you instantly sign and become a trainee. Sadly, this is not the case...
You become an UNOFFICIAL first, and this is when you do the exact same things as an actual trainee but the trainee managers are evaluating you to see whether they actually like you or not.
2. How can I impress the judges with my singing skill? I think I sing pretty well and btw when I was in Vietnam, which is my hometown, I was active as a singer and dancer so I kind of got training on both. Now I am in my school choir so what song should I sing fo the audition both Korean and English. I have a strong voice but I can't sing too high.
Go with what is comfortable. I suggest that you perhaps sing in English and if they ask you to do another song then tell them that you have a Korean song and sing one.
Always choose songs that are within your range, because otherwise you have a lower chance of getting in.
3. What dance should I dance to impress the judges? Like popping, hip hop, or moves that look interesting? Do you know a site that teaches those moves?
Learn many different styles like Jazz, Hip hop, Popping, Locking, Ballet (for flexibility).
YouTube is the best when looking for videos.
For Popping you can learn from Poppin Hyun Joon (famous for his poppin)

Or TheRussianTiger

I suggest it's better to take classes rather than learn from the internet though.

I guess if you have experience and are well known it is good but even if you didn't have experience at all SM will still choose you.
Just because you have done all this doesn't make the chance of getting in significantly higher, but it is more good for YOU rather than just for getting into SM.

1.) Depends. If you're on a level like BoA's you'll probably be accepted right away. Most likely they'll ask you back for another audition in LA or Korea. The Seoul office would have the last say. (They'll probably sent a tape that they take at your live audition to Seoul along with head shots for review).
2.) Range doesn't matter unless that's your selling point for your voice. What is your selling point? Your emotional delivery? Your rich vocals like Ailee or Aretha Franklin? Your mastery of various genres?
Being able to show personality through your singing will help.
3.) You will only be able to show off your dancing skills if they still include the rhythm test. Otherwise you will have to audition as a dancer.
Popping seems to get more attention like Taemin's audition. YouTube has a lot of examples.
4.) You sound very experienced.

1. They are not protecting international Auditions yet however that you can ship to your audition each time. E-mail/mail auditions are constantly opened for everyone :) 2. There are not any 'greater' probabilities or 'decrease' chances. The judges will look by way of each audition clip. 3. The casting manager will contact you and speak it out along with your dad and mom. Surely you'll go to Korea and audition again. 4. Ethnicity does not matter however keep in intellect that SM ambitions for Koreans/chinese. However regardless, which you can still audition. 5. It depends upon the judges. Most importantly you need talents. They have got to just NATURALLY see it in you. Even though you say,"i will be able to gain knowledge of effectively and i've abilities" the judges would possibly not see it. For SM, it can be no longer "looks are first" "skill is 2d". #1 is competencies and confidence. They will certainly choose a girl that is 'ok' at singing however has advantage than any individual that has NO self belief and that can't sing. 6. They're going to no longer drive you to do surgery. If you happen to insist NO, it is dependent what they are saying. They would need you to do it for debut functions. 7. For those who do not are living in Korea, you are going to be residing in a dorm with other trainees. 8. Like I stated above, it can be no longer appears or ability. It can be in regards to the self assurance you have got and the capabilities the judges see in you. 9. Hm, let's change the phrases round.. Alternatively of bad, use hard. Sure, it's particularly elaborate. Most trainees are trainees due to the fact that they are determined and they're capable for ANY boundaries that come to them. Of direction many trainees believe of giving up.. It's a usual concept. Some trainees DO go away in the core in view that they are not able to manage it. It can be all up to you and the way fundamental you're willing to go to arrive your targets. If you happen to just want to meet your favorite idol, be noted, be associates with noted people, then it can be first-rate simply to stop this singing life. Being in the entertainment enterprise isn't an convenient factor. 10. Yes they are going to. They will pay for each bills: coaching, dorm, and so forth eleven. Just like the applying. Common data about your self. 12. Sure whilst you turn out to be a trainee. 13. There are in general 2-3 rounds depending how the judge sees you. Judges may also be harsh and mean. But that is natural. Like I stated above, what's the factor of getting it the handy manner if these men and women are treating you harsh to get you competent for the real world on stage? 14. Various humans might say,"Yeah if you have an tremendously lovely face." honestly, the answer isn't any. Even supposing you are lovely but they don't see potential in you, then NO. *as a substitute of finding a tune, YOU must appear for a tune that matches YOUR voice. Don't attempt to reproduction like other singers' voice. The judges need to hear YOUR voice and YOUR color. Do not sing convenient-idol songs like SNSD, marvel women, 2PM, tremendous Junior, and many others. Why? Seeing that it can be now not displaying YOUR ability.
