What is Jesus doing in Heaven while so many small children gets killed by a luni?

Jesus is on vacation for the past over 2000 years. Just give him a break. When he is rested he will return.

Is the point of Christianity that Jesus solves your problems for you? I thought he was a kind of moral and ideological exemplar whose lesson of love, empathy, and forgiveness you were supposed to carry in your heart even through the hardest of adversities. Did I miss something?
