I totally understand where you're coming from. With a world full of about 6 billion people, why are people making it such a big deal that 30 people died? I do understand that it's sad that they're kids (under 7) but the shooter was mentally unstable so you can't blame him. Also to add to your point, people in the military die everyday and no one makes a huge deal about those deaths. I feel sad about what happened, but think that it should be made less of a big deal. All those stabbed in China survived,the victims in ct did not. Have a little compassion. It's a big deal because there were children involved, everyone involved was innocent but to hear children being slain like that just hurts the core.

If one of the teachers had had a firearm this could have been avoided. Guns are not the problem. Mentally unstable people are. Its a proven fact that in places where citizens are allowed to carry weapons the crime rate is low. It's a big deal because it's tragic.

It is shame as a human to kill and when it comes to little children it is sad no matter where they belong here or China.
