Could you please suggest me a free webhost?
I want a free webhost with large disk space (atleast 1 GB) & bandwidth for hosting some files. And I don't need any PHP/mySQL... support.
I know there are many file hosting services but they have too many restrictions( like non-resumable, speed restrictions, temporary link with limited time span). Even some free webhosts, restricts speed etc. I don't want mess up with all these. So, all I need is best FREE host for file storing and make the users download it with a single click. Thanks for any help. :)

I was looking for a free webhost to host my photography site where my clients could view my work and download the photos I took for them. I found this tutorial on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dR8bvDlZUBU and learned how to host my website for free on Google Drive. Works great for me for my photography site, I have also started another site which is a personal blog using the same method. It gives me more than enough space with 5GB for my files, only thing I changed was I didn't want to have the Google Drive URL address so I purchased my own domain for $5 and have it redirect to my Google Drive hosted address for free, this way I just have to pay for my $5 domain every year and don't have to worry about the monthly hosting fees, but if you just wanted a place to host files you could just skip the custom domain and use your Google Drive URL. Im sure this would work for you hosting files. Hope this helps your situation, good luck.

You know, I gave up on the freebie idea. They have to pay for it somehow. I looked for a low-cost host and I did well with webhostingpad for a couple bucks a month. (I know I'm probably not supposed to give them a plug.) I really didn't want ads forced on my site.

you be attentive to, I gave up on the freebie theory. they might pay for it in some way. I recognized for an exceedingly low-fee host and that i did suitable with webhostingpad for a pair funds a month. (i be attentive to i'm in all possibility now no longer meant to offer them a plug.) i in my opinion did now no longer want commercials forced on my internet website.

000webhost.com is free but i would suggest you otherwise, instead try a paid hosting service that gives you a lot of priveleges and control
