How can I disable elan laptop mousepad?

I recently had to get a new hardrive on my laptop. I could disable it before, but not now. There is no option to click 'elan', but before there was. I am using a manual mouse and the cursor moves crazy since I can't disable it. Help?? Thanks!

    Look on the mouse-pad- is there a small indent in one corner? If there is, tap it until the mouse doesn't move (the mouse-pad one) anymore.
