Unfortunately, nobody knows. However, I do know this:

1. There was supposed to be 3 days of darkness but I'm writing this on the 21st December and it hasn't gone dark but it has been quite dark but that might just be normal winter.

2. It was supposed to end at 11:11 AM but it never. It also might end at midnight but fingers crossed it doesn't.

Its the end of the Mayan calendar. Why does that mean that the worlds going to end? This is how. A Mayan language translator read that a picture (or piece of writing) indicated (wasnt really just a subtle sign it actually said that the world was going to end THIS day) that the world was going to end on the 21st December 2012. However, this also had HOW we were going to die (eg. meteors killing us, lots of explosions, freeze to death, crash into sun) but there was a giant slash across where it told us this so we didn't know how it was going to end so NASA couldn't see what was going to happen because they couldn't identify the thing but they also could of if they saw a problem but I'm not sure how that will work. I don't think there is Nibiru hiding behind the sun because it is impossible to tell and if it is then it is but we don't know.

On the bad side, the Mayans predicted this and thats why the calandar ended this day and the Mayans predictions were almost always correct so we are all hoping this was wrong.

No. And I have proof. The Mayans were the people who originally said that the world was going to get by counting days. They used a building and scolpted it to where they could use it as a telescope. They found the day when all the planters alined; the summer and winter solstice. Then they calculated how many times it would get light and dark until the next solstice. They later had an assumption that since there had been a catostrophec event, that another would happen in however many years (note that the last event DID NOT end the world so the theory that te world was going to end is crazy) then they took each time it changes from light to dark (days) to each solstice and then added however many times until it has been however many solstices since the last catastrophe, and made the Mayan calendar.

BUT, since then LEAP YEAR was created, ADDING 4 DAYS TO EVERY 4 YEARS.

Therefore you have to subtract those many days out of the Mayan calendar. THEREFORE, THE WORLD SHOULD HAVE ENDED 7 MONTHS AGO if there calculations were right, which they were not.

Don't worry about it. It will not end on December 21, 2012. Let me give you some proof. If they Mayans did in fact state that the world will end on December 21, 2012, then it already happened (for them). The Mayans had an earlier Year 1 than the world has now. Their Year 1 started when they were around which was way before religions even ever started. The Mayan calender may have ended at December 21, 2012 then the end of the world technically already happened. I am answering this less than 3 hours of December 21, 2012. There is no sign that the world is ending soon. Think about it, has anything out of the ordinary happened with the weather lately? Nobody knows when the world is going to end, there are signs that are suppose to happen when the world is about to end, but they haven't happened yet.

No its not tommorow is supposed to be the ebd of the world but it cant be. First the planet x is hiding behind the sun so wont it just crash into the sun? Second, if it is not gonna crash into the sun then wont we be able to see it? Third, the planet alignment happens with the earth and the sun aligned with the milky way every 11 years so dont worry the rest of all that stuff is just a hoax. Same thing happened in 2001 the computers are programmed to know only 2001 because the world is gonna end. Wow, how fake. And he earth has been living on perfectly fine for billions of years so im pretty sure nothing is gonna happen ;) and if it really really really really is gonna happen then wont there be tsunamis earthquakes tornadoes hurricanes and all sorts of natural disasters so do not worry. If the Mayans were so freaking smart, then why did their civilization die off? And so what if it's the last day on their calender? They should have learned to predict better, because the end of their world came a lot earlier than 12-21-2012 in my opinion. I think it's a complete fraud, and gives conspiracy theorists and the media something to scare the loyal masses with. I'll be doing the same thing I always do a few days before Christmas. Well there are many answers to your question. National geographic says yes but nasa says no. Well this is my opinion, i don't think the world will end because god created this earth and i don't think he would destroy it. Besides they also said that the world was going to end in 2000 but did that happen... No. Nasa just said that the planets will come align, that means the world will go black for little time, but that doesn't mean the world will end. The world will end when "black gravity" hits earth. "Black gravity" is the only thing thats more powerful than regular gravity. It gets bigger everyday in space and gets closer and closer to earth. But it only grows 1 millimeter each year.
