Do I have a chance of becoming a police officer?

I'm 21 years old and I don't have much college experience. I completed a semester in college majoring in Business Management. I reside in the state of Connecticut. I always had a passion of becoming a cop, and plan on changing my major. I'm 6 foot 2 and I weight 160. The only thing is I have a small record. I recieved a summons on driving with a suspended licenses, and a speeding ticket which I have paid. That's all. Could I still becoming a police officer at this age ?

Getting police officer jobs is becoming more and more competitive. When police departments are hiring, they usually have many qualified applicants for a relatively small number of openings. Any red flags can hurt your chances of getting hired. A bad driving record can keep you from getting hired. However, what you wrote won't prevent you from ever becoming an officer. You should definitely get a college degree if you can. Getting a college degree is one of the best things that you can do. Many departments require or prefer applicants to have college. Having a degree could help you get hired with some departments. Some departments pay their officers more if they have a degree. Having a degree could also help you get promoted during your career. Do whatever you can to make yourself the best candidate that you can. For example, don't do anything illegal, maintain a good reputation, don't get bad credit, improve all of your communication skills as much as possible, and become as physically fit as you can. How well you do on written tests and during interviews can be very important when trying to get police officer jobs. Make sure to prepare for any tests and interviews. Consider local, state, and federal jobs. Best of luck!

Okay the individuals telling you "yeah" are of path simply guessing, bear in mind, nearly all of the "solutions" listed here are unhealthy guesses. You shouldn't have any issues so long as your sincere. When you begin the procedure, be sincere approximately the whole thing. Believe it or now not, they are extra involved approximately your credit score than beyond tickets you acquired. If you shouldn't have adverse credit, I suppose you'll be able to be k. You're probably the most only a few individuals I've ever obvious right here who desires to be a cop who truthfully writes like an expert character (as a substitute like a under the influence of alcohol monkey that is how such a lot individuals right here "write"). You look k, so simply bear in mind, be sincere and I'm definite you'll be able to haven't any issues.
