What type of Hair Do I have and how can I fix my damaged hair?

I'm a guy, I know my hair is damaged, but I am no expert.

So before I buy the stuff I need to fix it I need you experts to help me determine what type of hair do I have? Dry, thick, thin oily, curly, wavy, etc I don't event know.

After telling what type of hair it is, then I would like to recommend me any product for my type of hair? a treatment or anything that would help me.

your hair looks like it has mixed textures in it.(like mine) like kinky wavy etc in the first pic. your hair looks damaged so try a hot oil treatment and try cutting your split ends. you have really thick hair roots

Medium thickness but coarse hair. It doesn't look oily, it actually looks dry. You need a trim though, the ends look damaged. Use avocado, banana, eggs or honey with olive oil at least once a week as a hair mask. Change over to sulfate free shampoos and look up the pro naturals hair care system and get everything you can from them. Especially the argan oil for after a shower, it makes hair really strong and healthy. Plus it makes it soft and gets rid of frizz. It prevents split ends too.

  • Here is what I use: http://www.naturallycurly.com/hair-types . It's pretty hard to tell. Even with my own hair, which I can see up close and personally everyday, it's hard to pinpoint one specific texture. Your hair appears to be type 2a-2b. It's normal to have multiple textures. Type 2 is not as oily as type 1, but it is not extremely dry either. You might want to lean towards products advertised as being for "normal to oily hair." The products you use will also depend on your hair's porosity and thickness. You can find out how to determine the both of those here http://www.naturallycurly.com/texture-typing . Naturallycurly.com also mentions hair length as well as density, but I honestly just ignore those because they have more to do with how much of a product to use, not which products. You should also try to avoid certain ingredients (http://thankgodimnatural.wordpress.com/2011/03/07/... ). You should clip off any split/damaged ends as well. Your diet will also be a big contributor to your hair's "health." Try to drink more water and incorporate more fish, nuts, eggs, and produce into your diet.
