can my laptop run civ 5 gods and kings?
i have a IBM thinkpad T42 and i really want to get civ 5 for Christmas but i wanted to know if my computer could run it also i'm not the greatest with computers

The recommended system requirements for Civilization 5 are:
Operating System: Windows® Vista SP2/ Windows® 7
Processor: 1.8 GHz Quad Core CPU
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Hard Disk Space: 8 GB Free
DVD-ROM Drive: Required for disc-based installation
Video: 512 MB ATI 4800 series or better, 512 MB nVidia 9800 series or better
Sound: DirectX 9.0c-compatible sound card
DirectX®: DirectX® version 11
To check your specifications, follow these steps:
Start Menu >> Type at the bottom Search "Run" >> Type "dxdiag" in the box that pops up >> (if another box pops up saying Yes or No, hit "Yes" >> And another box will pop up detailing your computer's specs.

You're computer doesn't come even close to matching the system requirements, sorry. Get a newer laptop.. you aren't gonna find much that can run on a 7 year old one.
