well, we have to find the total number of voters

    7310+14190=21500

7310 of those voters voted for canidate A

    7310/21500

simplfiy till its a number out of 100 (hint: divide by 215)

    34/100

    34%

So here's what you do - when looking for a percent, first find the total amount.

    So.... 7310 + 14190 = 21500

Then, to find candidate A's percentage, take 7310 and divide it by the total amount....

    So.....7310/21500 = .34

    So....34%, There ya go.

    7310+14190 =21500, A- 7310/21500,,,=that equals to 34%
