Just got hired at a movie theater?

I just got hired at a movie theater. I wasn't told what my position (entry-level) will be , so does anyone have any ideas? I don't know what to expect and I start this Friday, so any advice will be much appreciated! :)

Update:

What about customers?

    Hi!

I worked at a theater for a couple of years during high school, starting out entry level and eventually working up to the role of supervisor / projectionist.

Just starting out you'll probably be doing a lot of cleaning. Each theater will have to be swept out at the end of a show and all the garbage will have to be picked out of seats/cupholders and thrown away. Bathrooms will have to periodically be cleaned, and you'll constantly be sweeping up pieces of popcorn out of the lobby/hallways.

Our theater also had entry-level people work the concessions counter. Basically, you'd be selling food, handling money, filling drinks, talking to customers - all that good customer-service stuff!

Some of the little bonuses of working at a theater will probably include: finding unopened packages of candy on theater floors, free popcorn and pop while working (at least at my theater) and being able to watch snippets of movies from entryways on slow days.

Oh, and dancing to the credits music whilst cleaning. You will swiftly know the soundtrack to every movie's credit sequence that plays while you're there. It's great fun!

Best of luck - remember, mountain dew syrup and green slushy mix makes the most delicious drinks!

Usually it ranges from any of the following: selling tickets, verifying payment by asking for Ticket Stubs, Janitorial Work- cleaning Ticket Booth, Concession Stands, Theater Floors, and Bathrooms and Selling items in the Concession Stands.

It won't be too hard, so don't stress over it. You will most likely see customers and possibly briefly interact with them.
