Manga/Anime recommendations?

Hello, i got into one piece about a couple of months ago and i loved it from the get go, however now i have finished the anime and i'm up to date with the manga, so i'm looking for a new anime/manga. i'm looking for one which is action based, comedy, has got great strong characters with character growth. Something like no 6 or death note would be great too =).

I loved KHR, death note, avatar the last airbender,No 6, i am up to date Naruto but i don't want to read something like that again. please don't recommend DBZ i've seen it, bleach (got boring for me) fairy tail, (not really my type of manga) hunter X hunter or black butler.

i have heard of beelzebub is that any good??? I started reading monster but the art work put me off does it get any better? does the story progress should i stick with it??

Thanks in advance =)

Update:

Oh and i'm not really into shojo =) anime with cutesy girls don't really spark my interest. but thank you though for taking the time to answer my question

    Try fate stay night:

The story takes place in an ordinary Japanese town, Fuyuki City. Hidden from society, there has been a deadly war going on in this town. Seven sorcerers known as "Masters" summon a powerful familiar called "Servants" and they all fight each other till the last one. The last one is said to attain the Holy Grail which will grant them a wish. Only a few knows when this War started and what the Holy Grail is, but the war was about to begin again this year. The main character is Emiya Shirou, who lost his parents in a fire and was adopted by a man who called himself a sorcerer. Admiring his step father, he has been training himself to be a sorcerer. However, he had no talent and he could barely use one type of sorcery. His step father has already passed away, and today he's a sorcerer without any skills or knowledge. He is involved in the War of the Holy Grail when he accidentally summons Saber, who is said to be the strongest servant of all.

Or Code Geass: Knightmare of Nunnally:

An alternate Code Geass story in which Lelouch's fate is unknown after his meeting with C.C., whether he be dead or alive. Nunnally makes a Geass contract and gains the power to read the lines of the future. She also obtains a new body and takes up piloting an unusual Knightmare Frame.

    Also SWORD ART ONLINE:

The year is 2022. Mankind has finally perfected virtual reality. And within the VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) Sword Art Online, there was a player called Kirito. While he was enjoying the world of SAO, he and the other 10,000 logged-in players all received a frightening message from the Game Master... the only way to escape from that world was to clear the game, and that a game over within the game would mean their death in the real world.

Hetalia (it can be very confusing at first and some people find it offensive. But if you are able to laugh at yourself then it's great fun and down right hilarious)

One Piece (It's a very long series, and still on going, and in a way I guess it's kind of like Naruto [not really sure] but it's wonderful and worth it. Just bear with the first few episodes)

    Soul Eater

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (not to be confused with Fullmetal Alchemist. They are the same thing, but Brotherhood follows that manga and has a far more fascinating plot)

    Durarara!!!

    Angel Beats

    Darker Than Black

    Eden of the East

Ao no Exorcist (About demons, definitely a must try, with good animation too, and lots of comedy)

K (One heck of an animation, just pure awesomeness)

Soul Eater (Shinigami and stuffs, awesome soundtracks)

Trigun (A little old, but really superior to other shounen animes)

Rurouni Kenshin (About a wandering swordsman, definitely a classic)

Gintama (ONE HECK of a comedy, you'll laugh your *** off, with action too)

Beelzebub is a great anime too, though what I listed is superior than Beelzebub :)
