How have the past civilizations (Harappan) n empires (Mauryan,Gupta, nMughal) of India shaped modern India?

    Well the Harrapan Civilizations heralded the beginning of India's urban cultures!

    This civilization provided the basis for Indian culture today and religion!

    The Mauryan and the Gupta provided periods of stability on which the Indian civilization thrived!

    The Mughal introduced the Perso-Indian style of building(As seen with the taj mahal),

    And created the Hindi and Urdu languages!
