How many electrons does a single covalent bond share? A double bond? A triple bond? If one of the atoms is pulling harder on the shared electrons, what type of covalent bond is this? If they are shared equally, what type of covalent bond is this?

in a single bond, 1 pair of electrons,
double bond 2 pairs and triple bond 3 pairs of electrons are shared by the atoms.
If in a bond, 1 atom pulls electrons harder than the other, it is because the atom has more electronegativity( the capacity to have more electrons to itself). It holds electrons for a longer time.
this results in it gaining a partial positive negative charge and the other a partial positive charge. This bond with unequal sharing of electrons is called a polar covalent bond. if equal electron sharing takes place it is a covalent bond.

single bond shares 1 from each atom (so 2 total)
double bond shares 2 from each atom (so 4 total)
a triple bond shares 3 fro each atom (so 6 total)
