What's the use of this extra part on my SEGA game console?
So I was using my Sega the other day and I was thinking about what the bottom piece does. I looked online but found nothing related to it. It's the thing circled in red in the image. Anyone know what it is, and what is its function? I'm really curious.

Sega CD as it says on it. It plays CD games released for Genesis. Very few games were worth getting.
