Will the NRA go down the same path as the GOP Party as just not mattering anymore?

As soon as the extremists get attention, their message falls apart.

Only after the last keg requisitioned to thier final social gathering runs dry will they realize the futility of thier efforts. So as long as the Charlton Heston estate can support their beer fund, they will be just fine. :P

    No.

They might not matter with people to whom they've never mattered.

But their supporters are looking toward them now, more than ever. The wave of anti gun legislation is likely to hit very soon, and those who oppose will undoubtedly be funneling their money into the organization.

The NRA does not just "buy politicians". It's not that easy.

If the NRA didn't matter, then an NRA endorsement wouldn't matter.

Yes, Romney lost , even with an NRA endorsement. But he would have lost harder without one.

The NRA has endorsed Democrats as well as Republicans. An endorsement by the NRA is not so much a monetary backing, as it is a stamp of approval.

The NRA lobbies for support of Second Amendment rights, not just for the gun manufacturers (there is a different lobbying group for that).

A lot of what the NRA does is prevent unfounded or unjust gun laws from being enacted, at every level of government whenever possible. That's where the money goes.

It doesn't go to making the NRA wealthy.

Kinda funny, considering that the Democrats are still shitting their pants in fear of NRA backlash,

The last time the idiots tried gun legislation, the voters handed them their ***, and they lost the House and Senate both in the mid-terms, their worst defeat in almost 80 years.

Even that fag Majority Leader went down in flames over it, and both he and Clinton blamed the NRA & gun owners.

Go ahead and try it again. It would be nice to own the Senate and House again, while Obama hides i the White House.

Did you know that HE cut all the school security funding? The Federal funds that paid for metal detectors, security systems & cops in the schools? Obama cut TWO BILLION from that.

He owes an apology to the parents of those dead kids, but isn't man enough to admit it.
