I love fresh veggies. How can I get some more like the ones I've tasted?
Hi,
So I recently traveled to San Diego, California. Went to an organic market. Bought many, many snow peas. And.... THEY TASTED AMAZING!!!!!! So fresh! Crisp and flavorful, just like they are supposed to be! Oh my god I've never tasted anything so good!
But.... I live on the East Coast. Organic food here is basically moldy strawberries, and the local produce tastes like chemicals.
How do I get that godly quality of vegetable, with a similar flavor? I don't have enough money to fly to California whenever, so is there some way I can prepare or cook snow peas from Giant Eagle so they taste more fresh?
Also, how do I prepare edamame to give it a fresh flavor? Many thanks for your help, stranger.
Oh gosh, sorry! I posted this in the wrong section!
Well since my question is here, what soil should I use to grow chemical free snow peas?
And there aren't any farmer's markets (where I bought the things in the first place) near my home. Sad too, considering I love to cook.

Find a new farmer's market! I live on the East Coast too, and there are dozens of excellent farmer's markets that sell high quality organic vegetables, fruits, meats, and cheeses. And like the other poster said, you can always grow your own! Look into heirloom seed catalogs.
