What language is Bear Mcreary's Apocalypse from Battlestar Galactica (lyrics)?

I have fond the lyrics, they go:

Oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ

Tat savitur vareṇyaṃ

Bhargo devasya dhīmahi

dhiyo yo naḥ pracodayāt

Translation is supposed to be:

O earth, atmosphere, heaven:

May we attain that excellent glory

of Savitr the God:

So may he stimulate our prayers.

And Savitr is some Hinduistic deity symbolizing the sun, but Google Translate doesn't recognise it as Hindi. Sooo... what is it?
