Did I get a fair price?
Ok so I ordered internet and its scheduled to be setup tomorrow morning. I ordered it through fidelity communications. Im getting a high cable internet, the router im getting is a 16 meg wireless router and I get basic extended cable both for just $99.75 per month. The internet is unlimited and theres no contract to sign or throttling if my usage gets too high. So is this a fair price? Side note, im mainly going to be doing online gaming and Netflix, is the 16 meg router going be enough for this? Thanks

Cable TV and 16mbit internet for $100 a month?
That's a pretty typical price for most of the U.S. and a 16mbit connection should be more than enough for Netflix and gaming. Keep in mind that you will likely see better performance (especially with games) if you connect directly to the router instead of using the wireless.
When comparing other plans (like FIOS), you need to look beyond the advertised rate and include their equipment rental fees as well as taxes. They can add anywhere from $10-$50 to an average home cable bill.

It's pretty average. You could save yourself a lot of money in the long run, though, by buying your own modem and router. If you get one through the cable company, you pay a monthly rental fee.

It's average. The claimed speed is only between you and the provider. Has nothing to do with how fast the speed over the internet will be.

I don't think so. Check this FIOS for $80 a month that is faster & includes phone.
