how do i deal with my aquarius ex?

so yeah we had a really big fight so we broke up and then i deleted him on facebook and ignored his texts and everything so i didn't hear something from him almost 2 months and then out of the blue he sent me an email that he is really sorry of everything he has said and that he doesn't want a fight with me and i answered: wow where did u come from? and he was like: yeah i know but yeah i cant hold my feelings , so we start chatting again and he was very enthusiastic and happy and then the next day i sent him: hey , how was your exam and he was like: i was just going to sleep bye

Wtf???? srsly , it was 9 PM and all of sudden he was so cold??? i dont get him , what should i do??
