How do I fix Itunes unknown error -42408?

Itunes told me that I needed to restore my ipod to fix some items. So I restored my ipod and I lost every app, song and so forth. It stated to regain these items authorize this computer. Whenever I try to authorize my computer it gives the error above. How do I fix this?
