Who would get the better seeding?
If the 49ers go 11-3-2 and GreenBay goes 12-4, who would get the better seeding in the playoffs?
Which is considered the better record?
Also how to calculate?

A tie is half win half loss; that means both are 12-4 teams the 49ers have the head to head tie breakers over the Packers therefore the Niners have a better seed

Ties are not counted as neutral jeez! A tie is half a loss and half a win. So the 49ers would be 11.5-3.5 and the Packers would be 12-4. The Packers would have a higher seed in the playoffs.
Really...most of the answers are saying half a win so why are they giving the 49ers a full win? It's half a win so it's 11.5-3.5

A tied game is seen as a half of a win. So the Packers and the 49ers would both have 12 wins. I believe it would then go on to which team has the best win-loss percentage in the conference etc... Very good question though

They'd have the same .750 win percentage. A tie counts as 1/2 a win so SF is 12/16 as is Green Bay.
So to determine who would be the higher seed it would go to head to head, then division record, then common opponents.
SF beat GB in Week 1 so SF would get the better seed

49ers. Ties are counted as neutral, and losses are counted as negatives.
You can calulate by doing this:
49ers: 11-3= 8 ( you dont count the two because they are ties)
Bay: 12-4= 8
Although they are the same, the packers loss % is greater.
