Has John Cena ever been heel....I don't ever remember him being heel?

Do you think it would be a good idea for him to turn heel?

He was a heel when he first arrived to the WWE... he was "thug" and made raps about his opponents. He wasn't your traditional heel, but a lot of people simply didn't like him.

John Cena 2002-2005 - doctor of thuganomics gimmick I think.

John Cena turning heel is good for entertainment but not good for business.

WWE Knows a John Cena Heel Turn Won't Work

People want John Cena to turn heel so badly that when he finally does...people are going to cheer for him! Cena will one day go back to clowning on people with raps and rhymes and making people laugh and cheer for what he says. He will have that swagger that people hated, and he will be the badass he was Dr. Thuganomics came into the WWE.

There lies the problem: That is the character that everyone grew to love! Nobody will boo him if he turns heel, and it will put his character in limbo.

With that being said, I do think John Cena needs to grow his (you know what) back and be an aggressive angry man. He is too friendly and not angry enough to be a professional wrestler. I mean he beats guys up for a living, he should show some attitude. We saw glimpses of that with The Rock and people approved.

But a lot of people want him to turn on the crowd and become that bad guy. That won't work. The second he gets mean and does something bad, people will lose their minds and cheer for him so loudly, that he won't be booed.

Nobody is booing the Face John Cena, we are just booing the Good Guy John Cena. Having him be a heel will ruin his run, and it won't work in the long run either. He can be the face of the company as long as he brings back that "swag" that made him so popular in the first place. Lose the goofy colors, the dumb smile, and quit talking to the camera when you come out for your entrance.

Wear the throwback jerseys and the chain, rap, and just show an aggressive side.

You don't have to be a heel to be bad, and hopefully the WWE has figured this out.

In the "PG era" then the answer is no...AS most of the crowd consists of little kids and ladies wearing john cena "T-shirt".

He has many kids and ladies as their fans,if he turns heel now all the kids and ladies will hate him and as for other adult men's they'l cheer which does not matter to WWE. At present John cena "merchandise" gets 'sell' the most which WWE gets _profit_ from & if he turns heel now the "selling of merchandise" goes down/diminish's and resulting less profit to WWE. So after Pg era ends we might see John Cena "embracing" the Hate.

All the people(men) wants is him turn heel (resulting more cheer to john cena) & throw some insult to his opponents by him turning "Dr of Thugonomîc$".

But than there are times when.

Fans cheers for the wrestler regardless of being heel/face

    I cheer Y2J regardless of being heel/face.

Cena prbly wont work as a heel. Not saying he cant play the role but hes the face of the WWE. the creative team will prbly be too scared of the possible repercussions of making him heel (little kids hating him etc), so they wont do it. However, what would work is if he starts back with that whole gangster/rapper thing he had when he joined wwe. sure he came off as a bit of a douchebag, (the wig was jus retarted) , but we all loved that version of cena. we need back the docter of thuganomicis

Cena was a Heel when he wrestled in Ohio Valley Wrestling, and when he had the Thuganomics gimmick on Smackdown.

no never. did he ever run anybody over with a car? nope. did he ever beat somebody so bad that they were left in a pool of their own blood? nope. did he do anything that would get him arrested? nope.

John Cena would be better off going to Hollywood to work on the sequel to the hit blockbuster "Kickin it Old School". Its not like Jaime Kennedy has anything else to do......

It would be very interesting to see him as a heel again, but I doubt that will ever happen again.

damn man you missed the best part of him (2002-2006) Dr Thuganomics? Chain Gang? I'm a Bad Man?

if you saw him before, the Cena that you see now sucks and is absolutely stale in character. he comes out in his entrance saluting, yet he wears an orange or purple attire. WTF???? XD
