How much safer would Connecticut be if there was an "Assault Weapon" ban... oh wait they have one?
http://reason.com/blog/2012/12/17/how-do-we-know-a...
here are some ban compliant AR-15's from bushmaster

Shows how effective gun control is
The shooters AR-15 was ban compliant. Which means legal during a ban. As in it would not have helped.

An AR15 is simply a semi-automatic rifle that is designed to look like an M16. That's all it is. It fires a relatively small round (most are chambered in .223 or 5.56). People just see a black rifle with a magazine and start calling it ridiculous names.
The fact is that Connecticut has very strict gun laws. So do New York, New Jersey and Illinois. Those three states have some pretty high murder rates.

I suppose more stop & search laws are needed or having at least 5 armed guards/cops/national guard on patrol in every k-12 schools & malls or just move children out of schools into home schooling or tutoring the way it was a 2,000 to a 100 year ago. Video games, horror flicks, crime flicks, action flicks, sci-fi flicks, adventure flicks, war flicks, music that brags of murder or any gun crimes & hardcore xxx films influences teens with homicidal Ideals why not limit it all to E rating. Hollywood is the biggest promoter of fire-arms as a life saver necessary to fight evil: Django Sukiyaki/Unchained, dust till dawn, zero dark, saving private ryan, missing impossible, grind house, transformers etc. Perhaps hollywood should write out fire arms & replace them with spears, arrows, & tomahawk.
Principled Values in self-reliance, perseverance, hardship, hard work, responsibilities & real discipline (boot camp) is what a great society need & fight against savior complex, self-glorification, self-promotion, & arrogance delusional or merited the way the japanese huge majority, shaolin & amish society live their lives with the amish being the truest pacifist. Whether atheist or religious the path to a great society is not to be self absorbed & very dependent on others.
Not all parents discipline their children, but their children are their parents burden & responsibilities first & foremost, not society, government or anybody else's. Taking away parents rights to discipline their children properly only encourages facilitating spoiled behavior not learning that there are consequences in negative behavior.

Liberals will never admit this is true.
Most mass shootings occur in liberal states, in Gun Free Zones, where strict gun control is in effect.
Liberals point at crime and say we must have gun control.
Gun control means less guns. Less guns means more crime.
More crime means more gun control. Which means less guns....
Repeat.
Before long, only criminals and crazies have guns.
The liberal utopia.
When will people figure out liberals always do what the criminals want?

I know. There should be no restrictions at all on what you can buy. I'm looking forward to my shoulder fired missile launcher that I will store in my Abrams tank, parked next to the jet fighter. Nobody's got anything on me!

-Right to bear arms.
-Wide definition of arms.
-People only use it to mean guns.
-Everyone has guns.
-High homocide rate.
-What a surprise.
