I need advice on pad training a beagle or training her to go to the door.?
i've had an indoor jack russel and she caught on really well to the pads and my lab mix was decent with the pads as a puppy but learned to go outside no problem when she was a little bigger. but my beagle is just not getting it. she will pee on the pad about 50-75% of the time when shes around it but the other portion she will just go where ever and usually on our carpet. And she will not poop on the pad ever! also she will not let me know when she has to go so she wont go to the door or anything. she is about 5 months old and has always been like this. its like she knows to go on the pad but just doesnt care. please i need any fast advice, tips, help! I am at the point of getting rid of her. i let her indoors today and with in minutes of being in she peed on the carpet.

There are many questions like this so you could just go somewhere else to find this info but i'll answer it anyways. Pads don't work indoors, they make it worse if anything because the dog smells their urine and poo and thinks they can go anywhere they wish. You need to get an enzyme cleaner before anything to get rid of the smell of her messes or she'll continue to go wherever as well. If you catch her in the act you must take her outside ( you have about 5 seconds to interrupt her before she forgets ) and praise her way over the top if she finishes outside!! Also she's only 5 months old, she can only hold it for 5 hours at the MOST at this point, have you crate trained her? If not, i highly recommend it, it will eventually have her fully housebroken and she will learn to go to the door when she has to "potty" that way..Don't get rid of her just because you haven't trained her right, there's nothing wrong with her.
EDIT: never ever scold or yell at your dog for going in the wrong spot, she will think going "potty" is a bad thing.

Well I think your confusing her w/ the pad then outside. I would get her trained to go on the paper always. When she poops on the floor, I personally would show it to her ( not rub her nose in it ) tell her NO or BAD DOG which ever u chose then pick it up an put it on the pad an say " poddy here " . I have mine trained so well that I can Take them out tell them to poddy an they will squat an pee . Maybe she will get the message to poop an pee on the pad. Hope this helps ya out...

properly you ought at the start one element at a time. initiate with trouble-free instructions like sit down. it somewhat is undemanding to teach them how then make the instructions steadily extra stable. As for residing house training do no longer punish the canines whilst it is going in area basically say the be conscious no. you should basically feed it and supply it water thrice an afternoon then take it outdoors approximately quarter-hour after it eats and beverages so which you recognize whilst it somewhat is going to potty. because it somewhat is going potty basically say flow pee/flow poop so it buddies those phrases with the movements. you may not flow away water down all day till that's residing house experienced by fact if it has endless get admission to meaning in can pee after it beverages and you will no longer are conscious of it. you should stay with the time table otherwise this would possibly not artwork, and with regards to the cat field...shop it remote from the canines able the place it can not get to it.
