Can this lens work with the camera that I want?
The lens I want to get is the Nikon AF-S Micro NIKKOR
60mm f/2.8G ED but I dont know if it is compatible with the Nikon D3100...
If so, Any users of this lens that has anything to share?

Yes the Nikon AF-S 60mm f2.8G Micro lens is 100% compatible with the Nikon D3100.
Remember this though: Only Nikon lenses designated AF-S will auto focus on the D3100.

Yes, all AF-S (built-in motor) lenses are compatible with all Nikon DSLRs - the AF type won't autofocus on the D3000/D5000 series due to their lack of a body motor.

Yes it will work on your camera - even autofocus.
However, it is typical in a macro environment to use manual focus. The autofocus systems on many cameras are not super accurate in really close up situations (in the macro range), and due to the wafer-thin DoF you have to work with, switching to manual is usually what most accomplished macro photographers do.
But this lens can do that too.
