Questions about Pet Ferrets?

Wow. Buy the book "Ferrets For Dummies" as you really don't know anything about them. A ferret would quickly catch on something and strangle to death so no - collars should NEVER be worn. You should also never let them loose in your backyard - fenced or not. Only do so with a harness/leash on.

Not sure what you mean a "trained baby". Trained for WHAT?

Well the ferret wouldn't mind the dog just curious and maybe want to play with it but it all depends on the dog mostly because he can hurt them if they get close and he doesn't like it. I dot think gender really matters with ferret in small ways but maybe a female since it won't he territorial wit the dog like males would maybe.they do run away u need to watch the ferret at all times if it's outside it's cage. So if u take the ferret outside u can't take ur eyes off of it but inside the house u can let it run freely only it is best to put a bell on it so u can hear it move around and know where it is. Well so tags and bells would be great although I think a tag is to big on a ferret. But please if you let your ferret outside have a leash on it or fallow it around so that you don't lose it by escaping three gaps of your dog can do it so can the ferrets.
