What equipment would I need to record my debut mixtape?
I've been working on this material for a long time and finally got about 40 songs to choose from. I just need to lay it down. I'm just wondering what specifics ill actually need to record at my home computer and make a little home studio? I don't have that much cash but I was gonna get it for Christmas? I already have a pair of Beats by Dre Pros and Beats by Dre Studios and a set of high grade speakers with a woofer.I just need the other stuff and what kinds of stuff? Mics? Pop filter? Programs? Cables? Would really appreciate the help. Ill be getting beats not making them so I won't need software to make beats. I want to try and make it so I want it to sound professional not like I recorded it on my phone.

Hey Drizzy,
I guess money is not an issue with you, because those Dre headphones are really expensive (you can get 1/2 of your entire home studio with that amount).
Here's all the equipment you need in your home studio. I'm going to share the simple version:
* Microphone
* Audio Interface
* Cables + Mic Stand + Pop Filter
* Recording Software
As a mic, I recommend the AT2050 or the RodeNT2a and as audio interface you can go with Saffire products
