Finger joints inflammation?
The joints closest to the fingertips on my right hand are a bit inflamed.
It doesn't hurt painfully, but I feel the ache all the time. It's been here for a few days.
I've been cracking my knuckles since I was 12 (I know it's bad for you) and I'm 19 now. I'm trying to stop though. Not sure if it's arthritis or something.
I don't really have any other physical abnormalities, so I don't think it's lupus. My fingertips do not turn blue when I'm cold. I probably do have poor blood flow. My toes might have it too. I exercise regularly and my diet isn't the healthiest, but it's not really that bad. I get regular veggies and fruits. I'm about 5'3 and 110lb.
Should I see a doctor and how should I remedy this?
@Corina: Ohh, I'm really glad to know that. My dad cracks his knuckles too and he doesn't have arthritis or any history of arthritis in his family. My mom and grandmother, on the other hand, (who don't crack their knuckles) might have arthritis. But they never exercised regularly before or now, so that might be it.
I don't think I knocked my fingers on anything lately. I knock my hand around a lot, but only because I'm clumsy and it's never too hard. Typically, my hands are redder than other people's hands. But lately, after I come in from the cold to a warm room or if it's a stuffy area, my hands will get REALLY red and it'll hurt more than usual. Thank you.

Cracking your knuckles doesn't give you arthritis, that's a myth. I doubt you have arthritis anyway considering your age, unless there's a strong familial history of it.
Sorry to ask a silly question, but did you knock your fingers off anything lately? Are they discolored at all? Hot to touch? For now, I'd put some ice on them when the pain surges. Leave it another day or two and, if the pain is still there, go to your doctor. You might need an x-ray, that's nothing to worry about though.
