Are you allowed to wear shoes in your house?

Mom doesn't let me :(

At my apartment I let myself wear shoes inside and let me tell you people, it's livin the life.

    It's very clean, and respectful for a person to live with the no shoes in the house rule.

    But at the same time - it's kind of weird, and would push people away from wanting to visit.

    No, that's weird, everyone goes barefoot in my house, and well, every house on this island. When I go to the mainland i take off my shoes and people look at me weird...

    We usually take them off, but there isn't a set rule.

    But, when I live on my own I would take them off at the door. I'm a neat freak.
